The Church Triumphant

More than eighteen centuries have passed since the apostles rested from their labors, but the history of their toils and sacrifices for Christ's sake is still among the most precious treasures of the church. This history, written under the direction of the Holy Spirit, was recorded in order that by it the followers of Christ in every age might be impelled to greater zeal and earnestness in the cause of the Saviour. The commission that Christ gave to the disciples, they fulfilled. As these messengers of the cross went forth to proclaim the gospel, there was such a revelation of the glory of God as had never before been witnessed by mortal man. By the co-operation of the divine Spirit, the apostles did a work that shook the world. To every nation was the gospel carried in a single generation. Glorious were the results that attended the ministry of the chosen apostles of Christ. At the beginning of their ministry some of them were unlearned men, but their  (p.594) consecration to the

( ‪Original Sin? No way )

‪From birth man is mentioned by God as having innocent blood ( Psalm 106:37-38; Jeremiah 19:4-5 ).‬ ‪ To sin is to transgress law( 1John 3:4 ) so little children not knowing good or evil (Deuteronomy 1:39) and not having done it (Romans 9:11), are not sinners.‬ ‪Man is a sinner from youth (Genesis 8:21; Jeremiah 3:25; Jeremiah 32:30), after having turned to his own way  (Isaiah 53:6 ).‬ ‪No child is held guilty of a parent’s sin, let alone mankind’s first parents ( Ezekiel 18:20; Ezekiel 18:4). Only the soul who sins gets their name removed from God’s book            (     Exodus 32:33       ).‬

What Are the Major Covenants in the Bible?

Question: What Are the Major Covenants in the Bible? Answer: The major covenants in the Bible are: Covenant of Works (Gen. 1:28-30; 2:15-17). Covenant of Grace (Gen. 3:15; Isa. 42:6). Noahic Covenant (Gen. 6:18-22; 9:8-17). Abrahamic Covenant (Gen. 17:1-27). Mosiac Covenant (Ex. 19-24). Davidic Covenant (2 Sam. 7:5-16; Psa. 89; 132). New [Renewed] Covenant (Isa. 54:10; Jer. 31:31-34; Ezek. 34:25; 37:26; Matt 26:27-28; Heb. 8:10-12; 9:15).

Women Pastors

Question: Are women suppose to be pastors? Answer: As I understand the Bible, women are not supposed to be pastors. I base this understanding on 1 Timothy 2-3, where Paul argued on the foundation of creational ordinances that women ought not to be ordained as elders. Specifically, Paul argued against women's ordination on the bases that Adam was created before Eve, and that Eve was deceived (1 Tim. 2:12-14).  I do not believe that Paul was suggesting that women were not able to learn as much as men, or that men would not be deceived or mislead in their studies. Rather, the issue was one of propriety in the eyes of God. God had established an order in creation, and the church was to respect and follow that order. Because creational ordinances do not change, the application that women should not be ordained also does not change.  I believe that the Bible affirms women's participation in church services (e.g.  -  1 Cor. 11:5 assumes women will be praying and prophesying in church)

Salvation Bible Verses

Assurance Salvation - Can't lose Salvation

The Bible teaches that once you are saved you cannot lose your salvation. There are many, many arguments and proofs for this doctrine, including:  Christians are predestined not just to initial salvation but to eternal salvation  (Acts 13:47-48; Rom. 8:28-30; 9:18-24; Eph. 1:3-14; 1 Thess. 5:9-10). Christ's death secured salvation for those for whom he died (Heb. 9:11-15). Justification (being declared righteous and forgiven by God) cannot be lost or revoked (Rom. 5:8-10,15-19; 8:1-4,9-11,29-30; Heb. 9:11-12). The saved/elect are given to Christ as a permanent possession (John 6:35-40; 10:25-29). The saved/elect are kept secure in Christ by God (John 6:35-40; 10:25-29; Rom. 8:28-39; 1 Cor. 1:4-9; 2 Cor. 4:13-14; Eph. 1:13-14; 4:30; Phil. 1:6; 3:20-21; Col. 3:3-4; 1 Thess. 5:23-24; 1 Pet. 1:3-5; 1 John 2:19; 5:4; Jude 1,24-25). Eternal life begins at conversion, and by definition may never end (John 3:14-16,36; 4:14; 5:24; 6:35-40,44-58; 10:25-29; 17:1-3; 20:31; Rom. 6:22-23; 1 Tim.

Healing Bible Verses

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Jeremiah 17:14 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise. Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body. Exodus 15:26 He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you." Jeremiah 33:6 Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security. Psalm 107:19-21 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and

The Biblical pattern for church is this:

Every Christian should gather together to hear the Scriptures and worship Jesus together with other believers weekly (see Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2; Acts 2:42; Colossians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 16:19; Colossians 4:15; Romans 16:5; Acts 20:20; James 2:2; Psalm 84:4; Psalm 37:17; Psalm 92:13) It is also good to meet for smaller groups of Christian community in each other's homes regularly (see Acts 2:46) It's good to have leaders overseeing the work and needs of each local church - this is the Biblical pattern - not all of us are called to church leadership, and so we should submit to, and serve whoever God has called to lead at the place we find ourselves (see Acts 14:23; Titus 1:5; Hebrews 13:7, 17; 1 Timothy 5:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13; Philippians 1:1b; Ephesians 4:11-12; 1 Corinthians 12:28; 1 Peter 5:1-2; Acts 20:17; ) If there are believers who are unable for physical reasons to attend a church weekly, they should find a church or believers who will gather together with

How To Become A Christian;

Jesus said: 1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. The sole purpose of Jesus is bringing restoration & reconciliation from sin to Holiness. 2 Corinthians 5: 19 To wit, that “”God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, “”not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 2 Peter 3: 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Acts 2: 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,  and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. We repent by being honest with ourself and with Him. When we see into that spiritually we are compelled to ask forgiveness for the incorrect decisions we have made. Seeing ourself as God sees us  is called repentance. At the point of true repentance the Holy Spir
